Title

Bus Going to Banff National Park

Description

With its dramatic and picturesque landscapes, it is no wonder that Banff National Park has long been inundated with visitors. Like many of the world’s most iconic vacation spots, Banff is now facing the problem of overtourism.

The overcrowding of popular places within the park creates negative experiences for both tourists and for those who call the region home. Human activity also threatens the natural environment and wildlife that the park was created to protect in the first place.

To reduce the number of buses and harmful emissions, Parks Canada has introduced a reservation booking system. While this is a step in the right direction, many residents fear that enough is not being done.

Can you think of ways that tourists can help protect the areas they visit?
